How are we safely maintaining landscapes during Covid 19?

Covid 19 has certainly provided challenges for us here at Scotscape Groundscape – how we keep our staff and customers safe leads the challenge.

Scotscape Groundscape believe continuing under the circumstances is key to ensuring Health and Safety across the sites that we manage is achieved. Continuing to maintain excellent landscape maintenance standards will be cost effective in the long run as opposed to costly uplift projects to return any neglected garden back to beauty. Ensuring gardens are maintained at this time is key for many large residential developments due to residents being at home during lock-down, nature supports mental health which could be compromised during these unprecedented times. Having a well maintained outdoor space to enjoy during limited outdoor time is important.

The financial stability of staff during this time is also important to us as responsible employers. We have implemented strict schedules and working arrangements reducing vehicle staff and bringing in flexible working hours for those using public transport to ensure peak travel times are avoided.

Following government guidelines our staff are fully equipped with PPE and work to correct social distancing guidance. We have some great client’s who are being hugely supportive to enable works to continue with Health and Safety at the core of our working practices – thank you!
