Scotscape Contributes to DEFRA Research on Green Infrastructure and Urban Soundscapes
We’re proud to have contributed to the DEFRA-commissioned report “Acoustic Benefits of Green Infrastructure in Urban Areas”, delivered by a consortium including Anderson Acoustics, Tranquil City, Acoustic Sensor Networks, and Maploom.
The project was led by Grant Waters of Tranquil City, and Scotscape was invited to join the expert review panel, offering practical insights on how green infrastructure—such as living walls and green roofs—can enhance acoustic comfort and wellbeing in cities. Our input features in the final report addendum, supporting evidence-based approaches to integrating urban greening into noise mitigation and environmental design.
