Britain in Bloom
In the 70’s there was much excitement in our small village as the judges from Britain in Bloom arrived.
I was of course not in the slightest bit interested.
Too young.
The relatively short visit belied the months of hard work that the village community put in to bring colour and neatness to the common areas.
We did of course win the best village in Scotland award.
In 2023 there has been a sense of déjà vu with the Team London Bridge community driving the effort.
This time we played a part in the community effort with the living wall that we installed in 2019.
Here’s hoping for a similar result.
Thank you to Team London Bridge for all the hidden work in driving the greening interventions. It’s a wonderful neck of the woods to visit.
