This unique project is supported by Seville City Council owing to the benefits which incorporating plants in cities bring, biodiversity, reduction of the heat island effect and air quality.
The project consists of five small buildings integrated within a new commercial destination for Spanish Brand Mercadona. Each building is at an exit point from the underground parking of the Plaza de Armas Mall.
The building has a living wall of 30m2 and a green roof of 85m2. The plant cover which runs up the vertical structure continues into the green roof creating a seamless design.
Designed by the Architect Jesus Vitora from within the technical services department at Mercadona - this project encompasses smart green solutions being assessed and incorporated throughout Europe.
